Every February and March, Alberta SPCA educators and volunteers attend teachers’ conventions across the province. These two-day professional development events provide a platform to connect with teachers and share information and resources that inspire kindness, respect, responsibility and empathy towards animals, people and the environment – every living thing!
This year we will be attending seven out of the nine conventions hosted by the Alberta Teachers’ Association, extending our reach to Medicine Hat for the first time. Traveling across the province, we will be connecting with teachers from rural and urban schools in northern, southern and central Alberta. Teachers who stop by our booth can explore our resources, ask questions and collect a Humane Educator’s Toolkit as well as a classroom poster (available in both English and French).
