Everyone’s favourite “Golden Girl” Betty White was a noted animal lover throughout her life, and her legacy is living on through the #BettyWhiteChallenge sweeping across the internet following the beloved actress’ passing on December 31, 2021 at 99 years of age.

A grassroots movement, the #BettyWhiteChallenge is encouraging Betty White’s fans around the world to make a gift to their favourite animal welfare organization on what would have been her 100th birthday, January 17, 2022. It’s incredibly touching to see the power of Betty White’s legendary love for animals raising much-needed funds and awareness for animal rescue and animal welfare agencies around the world.

If you’d like to make your #BettyWhiteChallenge gift to the Alberta SPCA to help Alberta’s animals, we would be honoured to receive it.
