Free Pet Food Event

The Alberta SPCA and Community Animal Services of Lethbridge are teaming up this Tuesday to hand out pet food to needy animals and residents in southeastern Alberta. Staff from both organizations will be set up in the northwest parking lot of the Bowman Arts Centre, (811 5 Ave S Lethbridge), on Tuesday August 30th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The pet food has been graciously donated by Nestle Purina Petcare.

The Alberta SPCA and Community Animal Services both recognize Albertans are struggling with inflation. It’s hoped by offering free food, animal owners will have one less expense to worry about heading into the fall, and pets can remain with their families.

The organizations will have both cat and dog food on hand. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer food to meet specific dietary needs.

Residents seeking food will not be asked to show financial need. Due to the anticipated high demand, we are only able to offer one bag of food per family. We ask that pet owners requesting food come in person as we cannot send additional food home with family or friends.
