Jagdeep Sanghera is prohibited from owning, having custody or control of, or living in the same residence as any animal for the period of 10 years.

To ensure compliance with the order Sanghera must allow access to his residence during daylight hours by members of Alberta SPCA, Calgary Humane Society, or any Peace Officer with Animal Protection Act authority to facilitate inspection or his residence for a period of 2 years starting  July 10, 2019.

This prohibition order is in effect from July 10, 2019 to July 9, 2029.

When Do We Seize Animals

Alberta SPCA Peace Officers sometimes need to take animals into protective custody. When they do so, the officers will post a notice at the former location of the animals stating the reason for the seizure.

Investigating Neglect & Abuse

Our Peace Officers investigate every complaint we receive. We can only investigate if we have reasonable and probable grounds to believe there may have been an offence under the Animal Protection Act.
