Patricia Moore is prohibited for life from owning, caring for, or being in possession of any equine animals. On January 27, 2023 an appeal of the conviction was dismissed in Court of King’s Bench. Ms. Moore has until April 8, 2023 to divest herself of any horses in her care or control.

When Do We Seize Animals
Alberta SPCA Peace Officers sometimes need to take animals into protective custody. When they do so, the officers will post a notice at the former location of the animals stating the reason for the seizure.
