Khiev Thoeut pleaded guilty on February 19, 2021 in Brooks Provincial Court to two charges under the Animal Protection Act of 2(1) causing an animal to be in distress, and 2.1(b) failing to provide adequate care for an animal that is ill or wounded. Mr. Thoeut was fined $1,000 and given a two-year prohibition from owning animals. The prohibition expires on February 19, 2023.
