Barry Donald Heinemann is prohibited from owning, having custody or control of, or residing on the same premises with cattle for a period of 3 years, as of March 1, 2024. Pursuant to the Order, Barry Heinemann agrees to random checks by Alberta SPCA Peace Officers between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

This prohibition order remains in effect until March 1, 2027.

When Do We Seize Animals

Alberta SPCA Peace Officers sometimes need to take animals into protective custody. When they do so, the officers will post a notice at the former location of the animals stating the reason for the seizure.

Investigating Neglect & Abuse

Our Peace Officers investigate every complaint we receive. We can only investigate if we have reasonable and probable grounds to believe there may have been an offence under the Animal Protection Act.
