We are excited to introduce Nancy Simmons as our new Director of Animal Protection Services.
Nancy has extensive experience working with and on behalf of animals, including a previous stint with our Animal Protection team investigating animal welfare complaints.
Nancy is also a registered veterinary technologist, and has worked for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) where she held a variety of investigative and regulatory enforcement positions. Her experience includes working collaboratively with enforcement agencies such as the RCMP and Livestock Inspection Services.
Nancy’s extensive background in animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and leadership makes her a fantastic addition to our team, and it will serve Alberta’s animals well.
