Working together for animals

We rely on volunteers

Volunteer support is an essential component of the Alberta SPCA. As a non-profit charitable organization, volunteers are vital to our programs and services.

Why volunteer with the Alberta SPCA?

Personal benefits include:

  • the satisfaction of knowing you are helping animals throughout the province;
  • opportunities to share your knowledge, expertise and love for animals;
  • increasing your understanding of animal welfare issues;
  • being part of a community of people committed to improving the treatment of animals.

How you can help us help animals

Your time and skills will be well utilized! We will match your interests and talents to our needs in a variety of areas.

Volunteers are needed for:

  • helping in our humane education program through classroom visits;
  • community education by helping staff our display booth;
