The Alberta SPCA Annual Conference: Building Compassion and Confidence

This annual conference, part of the Alberta SPCA's Shelter Support program, invites dedicated members of animal welfare groups to come together, learn from speakers and each other, and spend a few days rejuvenating and networking.

Teaching Through the Heart - the Western Canada Character Education Conference

Teachers, teacher assistants, counselors, school administrators, senior administrators, board members, parents, law enforcement officials, health practitioners, students, and anyone involved in the education and well being of children will be interested in the second annual conference.

The Alberta SPCA will be presenting Kindness Counts! – Developing Empathy through Animal Interactions which will introduce easy-to-implement humane education resources for all subjects and grade levels to help students grow into caring, compassionate adults. There will also be a look at books that help enrich children’s relationships with animals and the natural world.
